Using both the newly launched advanced GOES-R high resolution satellites, and the regular resolution satellites in orbit, we cover the world in satellite imagery, providing the most needed views, as well as custom views specific to your needs.

We offer hurricane tracking paths on satellite imagery, radar overlays, and other special combinations.

For example, here is hurricane Irene as a category 3 storm with a landfall probability cone and direction estimates overlaid, one of our standard products.

For custom applications, where you’d like overlays done in your own background map presentation we can offer “clouds only” views that are navigated to a lat/lon window.

For USA images. satellite images are updated every 30 minutes.

Half disk east and west USA images are updated hourly, and global satellite images are updated every three hours. All images are saved as 24-bit jpeg files in HD and SD resolution. Web imagery includes half size images at 320×240 plus thumbnails at 120×90. For broadcast, the imagery is the same except it is unbranded – assuming you will place your own logo/bug on the imagery. For the web, images are stored on our servers, then retrieved by your viewers when they click on the corresponding links. For broadcast, imagery is retrieved by our exclusive synchronization software running on your video server and placed in the appropriate folders for playback.

Doppler Radar

Our NEXRAD Doppler radar imagery really “pops” with it’s terrain presentation and color scheme.  We provide multiple layers for roads, cities, with transparency to allow the viewer to retain the ability to locate Here is an example in HD 1080i:

We offer high resolution radar imagery for any location in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Guam, centered on your location of interest. We can also offer matching warnings maps that show instant status of weather bulletins in the radar coverage area.

Images are updated once every 5 to 6 minutes during precipitation, 10 minutes otherwise. All images are saved as 24-bit jpeg files in HD and SD resolutions. Web imagery includes full size up to 960×540, plus lower bandwidth half size images at 320×240 plus thumbnails at 120×90 for making the best use of website screen real-estate.

For broadcast, the imagery is available in SD, 720HD, and 1080HD resolutions and is unbranded – assuming you will place your own logo/bug on the imagery. For the web, images are stored on our servers, then retrieved by your viewers when they click on the corresponding links. This makes it easy for you to design weather web pages because all you have to do is to insert URL’s and the images will be automatically updated from our servers.

For broadcast delivery, imagery is retrieved by our exclusive synchronization software running on our MediaServer 4000 or MediaServer HD  video server and placed in the appropriate folders for playback. This runs entirely in the background so that on-air content is always as up-to-date as possible.

Weather Maps

We offer a wide variety of global, national, and regional weather maps and model output, including numerical plots on maps, isolines, and contours, depending on the product.

  • Current weather
  • High and low temperature
  • Frontal maps showing current and forecast frontal positions
  • Dew point, wind chill, and heat index
  • Current and forecast cloud cover
  • Current and forecast precipitation totals
  • Current and forecast winds
  • Many many more

Update intervals depend upon map type. All images are saved as 24-bit jpeg files in HD and SD resolutions. Web imagery includes low-bandwidth half size images at 320×240 plus thumbnails at 120×90 which are useful for “click throughs” to double your advertising exposure.

For broadcast, the imagery is the same except it is unbranded – assuming you will place your own logo/bug on the imagery. For the web, images are stored on our cloud servers, then retrieved by your viewers when they click on the corresponding links.

For broadcast use, imagery is retrieved by our exclusive synchronization software running on your video server, or one of our systems, and placed in the appropriate folders for immediate playback.

3D Fly Through

IntelliWeather makes use of state-of the art 3D terrain mapped imagery using Google Earth to provide a stunning yet low cost solution to giving your audience a “3D” view of the weather, complete with motion animations to allow “flying through” your coverage area. Weather information of all kinds can be superimposed on the 3D global model, allowing for unique perspectives on the weather.
